Safety

For LMI, safety isn’t just a checklist—it is a core value. Every LMI employee and contractor is rigorously trained in safety and safety management. They eliminate hazards and keep projects running.

Workers Deserve a Safe Worksite—and So Do Our Clients. LMI’s Safety Program Ensures It.

Many factors play into jobsite safety, and the vast majority of them are preventable. LMI has built a customized program focused on maintaining safe sites, safe workers and a safety-first corporate culture. It is one of the core operating pillars of our company.

People First: Our safety program isn’t designed to meet requirements. It is built from the ground up to keep people and jobsites safe. In doing so, we place emphasis on meeting all industry safety regulations and best practices.

Onsite Oversight: Our dedicated safety director is involved in the planning of projects and deployments as well as being proactively engaged in jobsite activities, such as visiting every site on a regular basis, checking for safety hazards and potential concerns. He systematically reviews common areas of exposure, from open trenches to confined spaces; from working at heights to NFPA 70E issues.

If he identifies an issue, his immediate directive is to eliminate the hazard as quickly as possible. With a wide array of tools and equipment available in his fully equipped safety van, he can immediately take or oversee corrective action without the need to shut down the site.

Training from Day One: All of our employees, as well as our contractors, receive extensive safety training through our web portal, with ongoing safety “update” training on a regular basis. Job candidates are also screened with safety in mind. Targeted application and interview questions confirm that they are committed to workplace safety. We also deliver specific and detailed training in person via the safety director, who is an OSHA Authorized Instructor.
